2022 Wrapped…

Can you believe it’s March already? These early months of the year always seem to rush by!

If you’ve been keeping up with us on social media, you will have noticed we came over all nostalgic at the end of 2022 and thought it would be a lovely idea to look back at all our company highlights from 2022. It made for a nice little series of look-backs, and we thought we’d kick off our website by celebrating them all over again!

🗓 Starting the year off strong in January, we had our ISO compliance audit – and passed with flying colours!

We received certification confirming our quality of service, environmental awareness, and health and safety systems are all of the highest standard! ✨

🗓 In February, for the third year running, PHP’s Director Fausto Pereira became a Part 3 examiner for Newcastle University!

Each year this is a fantastic opportunity to read the work of talented and ambitious students🖊

🗓 March was the month of the Access Association’s National Council – a quarterly meeting of all National Officers and regional representatives.

These meetings are invaluable opportunities to discuss national issues, legislation, and responses to consultation!

PH Partnership proudly represents the North East at these assemblies 💪

🗓 Thinking back to the Summer months…

In April 2022, as in every month, we looked to strengthen our success in the Health Care Sector.

We had the exciting opportunity to develop design options (and ultimately submit Pre-Planning Applications) for new NHS Older People’s Facilities🏥

🗓 We arrive at May 2022, the month in which PHP was delighted to hand over this highly bespoke, fully accessible new build – our project in Great Park!

We wanted to enhance the feeling of spaciousness within the home, and increase its connectivity to the external environment.

We achieved this by using interlinking volumetric spaces including double-height spaces, raked ceilings, and large expanses of glazing 🏡

In June 2022, PHP received the exciting news of planning approval for the new Whitehaven Town Council HQ.

This is only the beginning of what promises to become an impressive build! 🎉

🗓 At PHP we love having new starters, and in July 2022 we had the pleasure of welcoming Angela to our team!

She joins us as a Part I Architectural Assistant and has already made such valuable contributions to PH Partnership 👊

🗓 As August rolled around, we had another new starter!

Last year, Ruth joined us as an Architectural Assistant as she works towards her Part I qualification. It’s been wonderful to welcome her into the team – she has made a fantastic addition.

We can’t wait to see what 2023 brings! 👍

🗓 In the chilly autumn month of September 2022, our director Fausto had the pleasure of sharing his expertise on inclusive smart home design for people with disabilities.

Speaking to a conference of barristers, case managers, OTs, and other professionals, he discussed the management of environmental controls, personal independence, and safety within inclusive builds 🏘

🗓 A belated happy Halloween for October 2022! 🎃

This month the PHP team enjoyed The Access Association’s annual seminar, which tackled the question ‘Inclusive Environments: Sustainable and inclusive – can it be done?’

Events like this spark brilliant debate and discussion, and offer valuable contributions to the wider industry.

Philippa Jackson, Andy Hyde, Dr Gemma Moore, Jean Hewitt, Martin Burgess, and Steven Russell all shared their expertise – we eagerly anticipate the Spring 2023 Seminar! 💐

🗓 What an event to remember from November 2022!

Louise Hughes and Kirsty Urey from Core Case Management Ltd. invited us to EMG Solicitors Limited’s phenomenal WonderLAN ball 2022.

It made for a great night to look back on and raised an amazing amount of money for Headway – the brain injury association.

We’d call that a roaring success! 🍾

🗓 And we’ve reached December 2022!🎄

In the festive month that feels like it just passed, it was great to catch up with the team from Sintons and our mutual professional colleagues at their ‘Festive Drinks by the Tyne’ event.

Considering this was our first in-person meet-up after lockdown, it was a real treat to see everyone! 🤝

All at PHP are excited to see what great work we can do in 2023!
